Crème Brûlée S'mores

This last week I have really been missing Summer. Camping in the mountains, campfires at night and craving the classic snack... s’mores. I can't do anything plain jane so I decided to make these delicious crème brûlées s'mores. With the gooey marshmallow under a crispy sugary flavored crust piled in the middle of chocolate and crackers it is one treat that is to die for. The best part about this recipe is you can make a bunch at the same time. No need to wait for a roasting stick or the time it takes to roast Marshmallows one at a time. If you are a purist and you like roasting Mallows over a flame do not be discouraged you can still make crème brûlée s'mores, just roast like normal after you coat them in oil infused sugar instead of putting them under the broiler. It is actually really easy to make these special and extra tasty with my oil infused sugars. I used Peppermint Essential oil to make them taste like a peppermint pattie and Cinnamon Essential oil because have you ever tried a chocolate covered cinnamon bear?  Yeah it is an amazing combination. Plus cinnamon always reminds me of Valentines Day with all the cinnamon lips and the cinnamon hearts. I know these will make the perfect Valentine's Day Dessert. Impress you Special someone with your mad Crème Brûlée S'mores skills.

I usually make these oil infused sugars in advance either the night before or a couple days before. Start with this first. And store the extra to make next time easier or to use for other recipes. Oil Infused Sugars.
1/2-3/4 cups sugar
1tsp vanilla
2-5 drops Essential Oil flavors of choice-Some of my favorites are peppermint, cinnamon, wild orange, lemon, lime, lavender,slim and sassy metabolic blend and on guard protective blend.

Mix ingredients together. I like to add the essential oil I am using to one of the liquids for a more even distribution.


Let sugar mixture dry/harden. I usually let it sit over night. It will clump together but just crush or break up the clumps and use in recipes in place of plain sugar.



Not all Essential Oils are safe to be taken internally or to be used in food. I only recommend and use DoTERRA essential oils. I trust their testing and quality to be the best available. Dip large marshmallow in warm water roll in Oil infused sugar* to fully cover marshmallow. You can use a kebab stick, tongs or I like to get down and dirty when I cook and use my fingers. Kids love this part.




Place marshmallows on a foil lined baking sheet 2-3 inches apart.


I separated the two flavors with a kabob stick.
  

Place in oven under broiler until golden brown. Watch carefully it happens fast 60-90 seconds depending on broiler settings. Very carefully flip over and brown the other side. Please use tongs or a fork, the marshmallows are like liquid hot magma sugar at this point. 



Broil the other side until golden brown.




 Keep kids away from the broiler steps, they can prep s'more toppings. I like to use all kids of different things. Chocolate covered Graham crackers and cookies make it super easy. I also like to get fancy with different kinds of chocolate (dark, white and milk) and yes even Nutella comes out to play with my s'mores.

 Add golden marshmallows to s’more toppings and ENJOY!
